By submitting an entry to the Kiwanis Club of Croydon’s Young Writers Competition, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility & Consent:
You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child entering the competition (aged 6 to 18) and that you grant full permission for them to participate.
Original Work:
You verify that the submitted piece is entirely the original work of your child and has not been copied from any other source or generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Privacy & Data Protection:
We value your privacy. We will only collect personal data (such as names, ages, and contact details) to administer the competition and contact winners. No personal data will be sold or shared with third parties.
Publicity & Publication:
You grant The Kiwanis Club of Croydon a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, and share your child’s submission on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials. For safeguarding purposes, we will only ever publish the child’s first name, age, and general region (e.g., Sarah, age 10, London). Full names or specific addresses will never be disclosed without explicit, additional consent
Moderation & Safety:
We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that contains inappropriate, offensive, or plagiarised content.
If you have any questions about how your child’s data or work will be used, please contact us at secretary@kcoc.co.uk.
